Comparing prices with the Paris Museum Pass

If you’re going to Paris, then look no further than this post for your value tips on how to get the most out of your money in the City of Light. You love history, culture, the arts, and the architecture. Maybe you’ve heard about the Paris Museum Pass and are considering the 2, 4, or 6 day pass. Is it worth the money? I’ve been to Paris five times and bought the pass for three of those visits and it paid off handily — not only do you have your ticket already and can skip the line, but you also get to discover things you might not have seen.

The question isn’t about convenience though. It’s about price. For this exercise, we’re going to take a look at the six day pass, assuming you’ll be in Paris for a week. For six days (144 consecutive hours), you’ll pay €125. You’ll get an electronic copy if ordering online, or if you buy in-person, you might get a physical pass (make sure to write your starting date on that if you do!)

Now, time to see if it’s worth it. Below is a sample itinerary for six days and is mainly used for a price comparison. For all ticket prices, I’m using the full adult price and not taking student / late night discounts into the equation.

Note: This article has been updated as of January 26, 2026 with the latest pricing.

So how does that stack up?

If you went with a la carte pricing at every museum, you’ll be paying: €244,50
Or, if you buy the 6-Day Paris Museum Pass, you’re paying €125.

It’s pretty clear where the value lies and that’s even if you’re not planning to really maximize your time in Paris by seeing even more (because the Paris Museum Pass has a truly incredible number of museums for you to visit, and they’re all fantastic and unique in their own way).

When you’re ordering, you’ll get an electronic copy (you used to get a physical one, but you may only be able to do that if you buy in person).
