The Solo Scale:
At Animal Kingdom, Pandora is a must-visit destination for most travellers — even if you don’t have any true kinship with the movie. That describes me pretty well, as the Avatar franchise never really resonated with me. However, there’s no mistaking the fantastic work that Joe Rohde and team did when they were building the land. It’s got a ride that many people describe as their favourite and it also has several great dining options. That includes the ever-reliable Satul’i Canteen, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
What kind of food can you get here?
It’s a quick-service restaurant, which means that you have the option to mobile order. Satul’i Canteen is best known for its bowls, or its influencer-favourite meal — the cheeseburger pods. I found the kids version of these very filling. There were chips, the pod, a drink, and also a clementine Cutie on the side which I snacked on a little later.

While the bowls & cheeseburger pods may be the most famous items at Satul’i Canteen, recently they brought breakfast back to the restaurant! This is a fantastic addition, especially if you’re planning to rope drop Flight of Passage. There’s several options, but I tried the french toast & sausage with blueberry cream cheese. I eventually found the syrup to add on top of it, which was hiding near the cutlery and straws and isn’t given to you in small packets with the food.
My pro tip here is that unless you are really hungry, you should opt for the kids meal version of this. The bread was extremely thick slices and when you add the powdered sugar, blueberry cream cheese, and syrup, you’ve got a hell of a meal and that’s before the sausages. Satul’i Canteen is a quick service that you can also mobile order for, so ordering off the kids menu can be a breeze.
The Seating Situation
Satul’i is a bit different from other quick service, in that they will typically make sure that you’ve either got your food or that you’re picking up a mobile order before they let you into the dining areas. I’ve dined in both the outdoor area and the indoor and heartily recommend the former. Unless it’s incredibly hot, it’s really fun to be immersed in the energy of the land around you.
The cast members will guide you when you arrive and there’s plenty of seating options, so you won’t experience issues like you might at Woody’s Lunch Box (where it feels a bit like the Hunger Games just to get a seat).
