Remember to pack these travel favourites on your next vacation

It’s time to travel! Maybe you’ve already booked your vacation or you’re in the early planning stages. Maybe you’re heading out on your own, or you’re going with a group. You’ve got your main packing list completed. If you don’t, you likely know the rough idea of what you want to bring. You may wonder – what did I forget? What things have I never heard about, but work wonders? What will make my trip even better?

Here’s a few of my top recommendations that I use on every one of my trips!

Packing List | RFID Blocking Cards | Sunscreen Stick | Cooling Towels | Flip Belt | Collapsible Water Bottle

Before you even head out, you’ll want to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything. My tip? Buy a packing list pad, which helps reduce the stress of forgetting items.

Even when I travelled frequently (often for 3-6 months at a time between work and leisure), I never felt truly comfortable unless I had a checklist. Plus, there’s empty boxes to add your own personalized touch to the packing list!

Get peace of mind with RFID Blocking Card cases. Even when you take all the necessary precautions, you can end up with a compromised card. Sometimes it happens when the machine has been tampered with and sometimes because card-readers are in play. For absolute peace of mind, try an RFID blocker sleeve for your cards.

Don’t forget to always keep your credit card’s toll-free phone number written down somewhere. I suggest in the notes on your phone or a slip of paper, just in case you are compromised. The last thing you want while travelling is someone ordering $5000 of Nike products. If that sounds specific, it’s because that happened to me in Paris.

Need to refresh your sunscreen in the middle of the day? Try a sunscreen stick for a much easier reapplication experience. They work just like a stick of deodorant and come in varying SPFs (though SPF 50 is ideal for its strong protection).

These sticks are small enough to fit into any bag and avoid the complications of messy liquid or aerosol sunscreen. This is ideal for the neck and face, but it’s also helpful in emergency situation if you’re in danger of burning.

If your final destination is a warm climate, stock up on cooling towels. By dipping them in ice water, you’ll be able to keep your neck, head, feet, or any other part of you cool.

These towels can also serve double-duty in those hot climates by acting as a sweat absorption towel to keep you cool and dry. Plus, you can tie them around luggage or strollers if you need to quickly identify yours in a crowd!

Are you heading out on a hike or to a theme park and the idea of a backpack is already making you feel sore? Try the Flip Belt! It can easily hold a set of keys, a phone, credit cards, and even small amounts of cash. Keep in mind that the fabric isn’t that thick, so if you get wet, paper currency may be ruined.

It fits like any belt would. Plus, it makes it easy to carry items without a bulky backpack. It can also double as a money belt, since it can be worn under a shirt.

Staying hydrated when you’re travelling is critical and while it might be tempting to bring a metal water bottle with you (because you love that design so much), it will get annoying to carry with its weight and when its empty, you still have to tote it around.

Try a collapsible water bottle instead! They’re lightweight, easy to carry and fill, and when they’re empty, they can reduce in size without taking up too much of your space. When I was at the Animal Kingdom, I had people who approached saying they wished they had something like this instead of the bulky metal water bottles they were using. It’s definitely been a hit wherever I go!
