The Solo Scale:
Are you in San Francisco? Maybe you’ve spent a whole day exploring and ended up in Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s lunchtime (maybe it’s dinner). You’re hungry. The line for In-N-Out Burger is out the door and doesn’t look like it’s moving very quickly. You’re not sure you want to sit down for dinner at one of the larger restaurants, but you’re hungry right now.
The good news is that you’re not far from an incredibly satisfying meal. On 496 Beach St, The Codmother is a permanently installed food truck that offers incredible seafood at reasonable prices. You’ll take a bit of a turn away from the Wharf, but it’s only a block away from the main walk.
Here, at the food truck, you’ll place your order at the window. There’s more than just fish and chips, too! While you can opt for a combo that gives you shrimp & fish, there’s also options of clam chowder, calamari, shrimp tacos, and an array of different fry choices (from garlic to fully loaded and almost everything in between). The service is quick as well. After you receive your receipt, you’ll wait for your food to be freshly prepared before finding a seat at one of their many tables.
It’s first-come, first-served, but the line never gets too long and you can also order ahead online for pickup!
