Step into fantasy at Arte Museum in Las Vegas

The Solo Scale:

If you’re looking for an ethereal experience at a Vegas attraction that isn’t a club or a bar, you’re in luck. There’s plenty of art exhibits and installations and Arte museum is one of the more unique offerings.

When I was heading back to Vegas, I created a reference list of all the sights to see. Somehow, I totally missed out on Arte. Luckily, I had made friends with someone on the plane. During our chat, she mentioned she’d be visiting this location and it sounded fantastic. It was a museum with art-installation rooms dedicated to different landscapes, seasons, and art. It’s something that you might see pop up in your city with a single focus, but having it in one place with multiple options is a dream. It’s even more so for those who like to document for Instagram, because each room truly is Insta-worthy.

Arte museum is located on the second floor of the Crystal Shops between the Aria and the Cosmopolitan. It’s slightly hidden by the corner, so you might miss it. When you get close, there are signs on the connecting bridge over the street.

The garden room — one of the first you’ll enter with the effect of falling petals.

If you are headed to Arte, make sure to budget for the Vegas level price. It may feel a little steep (especially if you’re dealing with the exchange rate from another country). However, it’s no more expensive than anything else you’ll be doing. It was around $50 USD when I went. When you’re purchasing your tickets, they’ll warn you that you should have at least 90 minutes to explore. That’s primarily because the last room includes a show that runs on a loop — which is thirty minutes. Given that you’re paying so much money, you’ll want to be able to take your time.

That final loop room included a combination of a Vegas loop, great paintings by the old Impressionist masters, and great works by Korean painters at the time of my visit. However, that offering changes over time, so your experience may vary.

Before you get there, you’ll explore a plethora of other rooms, including but not limited to:

  • Star Raindrops (my personal favourite – I could have stayed here the whole time)
  • Infinite Waterfall (the first long and narrow room you’ll pass through)
  • Starry Beach (a room with the ocean surrounding you)
  • Jungle Glow(where animals will play along on the screen)
  • Sunset – this is on your way out and is hues of pink, orange, and warm tones. It’s actually a great place for selfies because of the white walls and the amazing colours
The aurora room, with waves that spill out onto the floor you’re walking on.

Those are just a few of the rooms that you can spend your time in. It’s an Instagrammer’s dream, but it’s also incredible to be there when it’s not busy and let the soothing sounds wash over you. The final room exhibition also has a café nearby, so if you want a quick bite, you can eat here, but I’d recommend going to Arte on the way to another reservation since Vegas has so much to offer.

The display in the final room — the thirty minute loop. There’s an area where you can ascend to the second floor for better observation.
